Rust rarely stays in one spot, so we start by tracking down every affected area rather than just patching the visible damage. On a truck with years of serious corrosion, that meant repairing every rust spot we found before repainting, not just the ones that were easy to reach.

On an older SUV with a badly worn roof and windshield section, we replaced the aging roof and windshield moldings with OEM parts rather than aftermarket substitutes, then repainted the roof rack to match the freshly restored roof. The goal on every rust job is the same: strip the corrosion back to clean metal, rebuild what needs rebuilding, and finish it so the repair is invisible.
